The Industry Placement Program (IPP):
Provides students with an opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience, to enhance knowledge and skills.
Is a unique pathway for businesses, government and industry to attract new talent with skills and interests relevant to your workplace.
Placements are conducted full time over 26 weeks (placements for engineering students are conducted in two 13 week blocks).
Careers and Employability provide career advice, assistance with finding work while you study, internships and vacation programs, graduate programs, and graduate jobs. They offer a number of workshops on a range of employment related topics.
Federation Advantage is a program that recognises students for all the extra activities they take part in during their studies. It acknowledges students that go above and beyond in their time at University, and provides them with the opportunity to build skills and capabilities essential for employment and longer term, community and career success.
Members of the Student Development team can help you connect with a range of volunteering opportunities that can allow you to get involved and make a positive contribution to your community.
We provide career advice, assistance with finding work, including part-time casual work while you study, assistance finding internships, and vacation programs, graduate programs, and jobs. We offer on-campus workshops and online webinars on a range of employment related topics.
We can help with resume, cover letter, key selection criteria document reviews, job interview practices, hints and tips, access to volunteering opportunities, and careers information and resources.
The new state-of-the-art UniSports Health and Sports Precinct on the Mount Helen campus is now open.
The precinct boasts a new community gym, refurbished 25 metre indoor pool, new basketball courts, various fitness and recreation spaces, dedicated strength and conditioning area and a student led rehabilitation centre.
UniSports offers a range of membership options for staff, students and the community.
Federation Children's Centres, located at Mt Helen, Ballarat CBD (SMB) and Churchill provide quality childcare and kindergarten programs. Centres offer a caring and supportive environment with flexible and stimulating learning experiences. A wonderful environment in which to learn, explore and play.
